✨ The biggest Japanese festival in Chiang Mai is back! Meet the 2nd “Tanabata Matsuri” at One Nimman. Come experience the colorful atmosphere, fun and Japanese entertainment from today – until July 29! Discover the highlights of the event that you can’t miss. Popular activities include writing your wishes on “Tansaku” paper to make a wish to the stars.
– Have fun learning about Japanese culture with free workshops such as Japanese-style games, Japanese calligraphy (Shodou), Japanese-style cloth wrapping (Furoshiki) from the Taiyo Japanese Study Center Chiang Mai, Japanese-style origami folding from the Waseda Japanese Language Institute, educational activity booths from the Consulate-General of Japan in Chiang Mai, hair styling zones and consultations from hair color experts, imported products from Japan from Rapi-rabi Chiang Mai. Or if you don’t have a set yet, don’t worry because we have a “Yukata” rental service for you to wear to take beautiful photos and check in at the event!
– Don’t miss the cultural performances that will make you enjoy and amaze you with the spectacular show, Sakura Dance, Omatsuri, performances by Kru Ying Ban Nam Nueng and Shingirenma Karatedobu on stage from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University and many more!
– Enjoy delicious Japanese food from famous restaurants all over Chiang Mai, such as soba noodles from Boonpun Saru & Don, premium ingredients from Tenten Sukiyaki, real matcha from MATCHAPPEN and fusion food at HIDELAND.cnx that combines Japanese, Thai, Northern and Northeastern menus in a unique way!
