We are pleased to present our “ASEAN Astronomy Camp (AAC)” open to young adults from all nationalities to learn, explore, and exchange in Astronomy, visit the advanced research and engineering facilities in Chiang Mai, Thailand between 11-14 March of 2025.
The International Training Centre in Astronomy under the auspices of UNESCO (ITCA) and the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) is proud to present the ASEAN Astronomy Camp, or “AAC” for short. This international camp aims to offer the rare chance for secondary school students to explore their passion in astronomy, visit the laboratories, facilities, and engineering facilities engaging in frontier astronomical research. This includes a rare chance to visit the largest optical telescope of ASEAN, the 2.4m atop Doi Inthanon National Park, and the largest radio telescope of ASEAN, the 40m dish located in Chiang Mai. Witness as new advancement in optics, mechatronics, space technology and more are being developed at Princess Sirindhorn Astropark. Youths across many nations get to share their culture and interest in astronomy as they engage in many engaging activities and learn how to operate their own telescope as they stargaze under the pristine sky atop Thailand’s highest peak.

Qualifications:
– Youth between 15-19 years of age
– Currently enrolled in a secondary school
– Can communicate in English well
