Bangkok is not a place you would normally expect to see snow especially at this time of year when temperatures are soaring but if you want to take the kids to experience some snow and ice, and cool them down, then ice magic is the place for you. Ice magic has opened as a pop-up snow and ice fantasy land until July and it is set to be the largest indoor snow park in Thailand. The Winter Wonderland is organised by Apollo Entertainment Media, Asia Pacific’s leading event and exhibition organizer and will be the biggest artificial snow area ever built in Thailand.
Ice Magic first appeared in Beijing in 2008 and immediately gained nationwide attention and their pop-up snow parks alpng with many winter activities not normally seen in the hotter cities of Asia soon became a place for some family fun without the expensive flights ticket to Japan or Switzerland!

The Fantasy on ice has been created inside a gigantic tent, 11.5 meters tall and is divided into two zones for Ice and snow. The artificial snow is created using modern equipment that was used to cover the ski slopes during the Beijing Olympics and is exactly what Bangkok city dwellers need during the scorching month of April & May. Boasting a 80 meter ski slope, a skiing and snowboarding zone and some of the longest ice slides in the world at 148 meters there are plenty of attractions for kids to enjoy the fun and keep them cool at the same time. The snow park also features an exhibition of sculptures by winning ice artists from the Harbin Ice Festival held annually in China every year.
Snow Zone – Do You Wanna Build a Snowman
Within this zone, snow will be created with the same snow machines used in the 2022 for Winter Olympics in Beijing China. One the day before the event opens a giant snow machine will produce white snow, clean and pure for a period of 20 consecutive days and fresh snow will fall every day. The snow will be cleaner than natural snow found in cold countries and kids can enjoy making a snowman, playing snow angels and trying to beat their parents in a snowball contest. There is also a 80-meter long ski slope, which is one of the longest and highest ski slopes ever in Thailand. There are additional packages for skiing and snowboarding.
Ice Zone
The ice zone is filled with a variety of activities that have never been seen before in Thailand including a 300 square meter ice skating rink and an on-ice carousel ride. The highlight of the ice zone is a two-lane ice slide with a length of 148 meters and is one of the longest indoor ice slides in the world.
The slide is decorated with spectacular ice sculptures created by a master ice sculptor from Harbin, China, where the famous Harbin Ice Festival is held. Expect to see ice sculptures representing the symbols of Thailand, carved elephants, tuk-tuks and more. Ice Magic will also be organising a contest where kids can try their ice carving skills.
Where to Find the Snow
Fantasy on Ice Winter Playground will be located at The Market shopping center, opposite CentralWorld, covering an area of 3,000 square meters in an impressive tent 11.5 meters high. Early-bird tickets are now available for B999 for adults and B799 for children under 12 years old. Open daily from April 18th to July 16th this is set to be a hot (or cool cool) ticket in town, grab your tickets, put on your boots and scarves and go and enjoy some winter wonderland family fun.
