At first glance, living in Chiangmai or a visit to the city might not seem like the most suitable place for kids. That’s a huge misconception. Chiang Mai as it’s known locally, offers a vast array of amazing activities and camps for kids. From soft play centers to wild water parks, there are plenty of places to enjoy some family fun and keep everyone from toddlers to teens happy and occupied.
To make your life easier our CHIANG MAI Kids community members have voted from the hundreds of super cool attractions to create our Top 10 Things to do with Kids in Chiang Mai. Here we have compiled a list of our members’ most popular places and we’ve included something for everyone. You can learn to surf in the heart of the city, visit a water park on top of a shopping center or discover the back streets of Chiang Mai on family friendly bike and scooter tours.

Adventure Ban Pong ATV Off-road Tours

We are very good at our job and make sure we give the greatest experience to our drivers and passengers. We give out good sceneries to explore with our tour guide and give our customer a real off-road experience in the Chiang Mai jungle.
AFTER School Chiangmai
AFTER School Chiang Mai is a great place to take kids to hang out after school. They have fantastic undercover kids playground featuring sliders, a huge climber in the shape of a pirate ship, rope tunnels, all placed on top of a large sand play area. They also offer inside activities for kids throughout the year where they can decorate and enjoy their own cupcakes so it’s worth checking in advance what activities they may have on offer.
BMP Farm House x Slider
BMP Farmhouse slider is an enormous water slide at 25 metres it’s long enough to keep the kids busy for hours going back & forth. Ideally you can take a boogie board or inflatable ring to go down the slide and it’s recommended only for good swimmers as the pool at the end is quite deep and you could end up going quite fast! There is also a small kids pool with mini slides for the little ones.
Buffa Cafe Water Park
Buffa Cafe Water Park is clearly named after the buffaloes located in the nearby farm that you can always pop into after a day at the water park. This is a much smaller park but still has everything you need, slides, water play areas, a small man made beach and a kids playground. There is a small cafe on site and you can rent floaters the day, it’s an ideal place for younger kids.
Elephant Poopoopaper Park
Playfully outrageous with a serious underlying message of sustainability!
A must – see attraction when traveling and touring in Chiang Mai, Thailand! Visit POO POO PAPER PARK where incredible, eco-friendly paper products are crafted from elephant poo and more!
Ginger Farm Chiangmai
Ginger Farm Chiang Mai is a great place to spend a day amidst nature and all things natural. Kids can participate and learn how to plant rice, visit and pet the farm animals, collect their own eggs, make their own arts and crafts and even get to ride around on a tractor. It’s a large farm and divided into different areas and the kids can wander and explore each section, There is a small playground area and a fab on site farm to table restaurant. They often have pop-up workshops so it’s worth checking in advance for any themed activities.
Little Soul Kids Planet
Little Soul kids Planet is an indoor and outdoor kid’s playground and Café. We have the safest and the most interesting kids entertainment facilities, organic and healthy kids menu, a big selection of activities and events, and a unique family interaction experience
The Little Urban Farm
The Little Urban Farm aim to inspire a new generation to regenerate the planet. They use nature as a tool to inspire kids. Their My Little Garden is a project based learning experience that focuses on life values. They offer many different pop-up camps by different providers all focusing on the natural world around us.
X Centre Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai’s X-Centre is the one-stop for all adrenaline junkies with a wide range of thrilling activities to keep visitors of all ages entertained all day long. They offers a wide range of things to do for kids of all ages from extreme activities such as bungy jumping and riding ATVs on the Moto Track to just plain fun ones like the Indoor Drift and crazy Karts. They also offers mini-golf, and have a large garden area for kids to run around and enjoy themselves.
