All around the world opportunities for children to play are being stripped away and replaced with academic activities before children are developmentally ready. Chiang Mai Grow-operative recognises this along with the impact that play has on child development which is why we have created The Mud House, a co-operative, bilingual, multi-aged, play-based preschool in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai.There are many benefits of a play-based environment:

Develops social skills
Improves literacy
Encourages independence
Encourages physical fitnessNot only do we play, but we do so in a bilingual environment with one Thai speaking teacher and one English speaking teacher.This coming Sunday 11th June we welcome families and their children to our Open House from 9am until 11am. During this time children and parents will experience a taste of a morning at The Mud House as we begin with a small circle time, followed by a play-based session in areas such as play-doh, mud kitchen, library, outdoor loose parts, tinkering corner, creation station and block play. We will end the session with a story read by Kru Anthony.
